Hi there! I just found your blog (linked from another blog.) My 13 year old daughter has severe cricophryngeal achalasia. We live in MN, but will be traveling to Boston for testing and (hopefully) treatment. I'd love to have some adult input on Achalasia on my blog. My daughter also has Down syndrome, and has only rarely complained of pain, and yet her Achalasia is so severe that our doctor at Mayo kind of freaked out about it!
